1. Scope

This notice provides general information about installing and using the ARES POS desktop application locally, and about visiting posares.com.

2. Local data

The application primarily stores sales, stock, customer ledger, and settings data on the user's computer (for example in a local application data folder). Typical contents may include the database, backups, logs, and receipt/output folders depending on configuration.

3. Network features

When multi-register / LAN sync features are enabled, data may be exchanged with other ARES POS terminals on the same business network. This traffic stays on your network.

4. License information

A machine identifier (hardware summary) may be generated locally for license verification. Separate notice may apply when online license or cloud features are used.

5. Website

6. Retention and deletion

Uninstalling removes program files by default; local customer data may not be deleted automatically. Permanent deletion is the responsibility of the user / business.

7. Third parties

Third-party components are listed in product license texts. Optional external service calls (for example exchange rates) may be triggered by user action.
